We are happy to announce that the Dezide Troubleshooter for iOS is now live in the App Store.
The Dezide Troubleshooter for iOS companion app is now generally available for both SaaS and enterprise customers holding offline Dezide licenses. The app is designed for easy troubleshooting in offline environments, and we believe it’s the best interface for the troubleshooter that we have ever had!
As we are seeing more and more companies where field service technicians are turning to their mobile devices for troubleshooting, we saw an increasing interest for a native iOS app that will enable field service technicians to troubleshoot machines in offline environments where there is no internet connection.
An interface for all generations of users
The online Dezide Troubleshooter is already built to be responsive and useful on mobile devices. Still, as it requires an internet connection, our customers were left wanting for something to support their workforce when working in remote areas.
The user interface for the app was designed from the ground up in tight collaboration with UX designers, and we are really happy about the result!
When building the interface for the app, we knew that we needed to make something that would appeal to both older field service technicians who are very knowledgeable about fixing everything in complex machines, but who are maybe not that good at IT, and younger generations of tech-savvy field technicians who are used to friendly consumer-grade apps, and therefore expect business apps to be just as good an experience.
Security comes first
The app automatically downloads new and updated content from the server when you are online, and it also uploads usage data, and any user-generated feedback with images and videos when online. The app, of course, only downloads the parts of the knowledge base that the user has permission to use.
Security is always a big concern when we download a valuable knowledge base with proprietary documentation, so we have gone to great lengths to ensure that the downloaded content is transferred using secure connections and stored on the devices in encrypted data storage.
The app is already rolling out to the first customers.
